Master of Science Epidemiology (MSc)

What is Epidemiology?

Epidemiology examines which factors make an individual or an entire population sick and which maintain their health. With the help of epidemiologic knowledge, many health policy measures have been implemented. With changing life conditions, new health risks are appearing and pushing the health spectrum of society into more chronic and partially preventable illnesses. Along with the methodological and analytic knowledge that is presented in the master of science programme, current topics in public health research and education will be offered that reflect the various possibilities of further specialisation. A focus in Epidemiology, Clinical Epi, Genetic Epi, Environmental and Occupational Epidemiology will be accommodated.
